top 5 posts - PHD summary from Making A Lather

Meadow mist designs has a link up for your top 5 posts for the year. If I did this right, most of mine are not even spectacular. I have no idea why they have the most views.

end of rainbow finish from Making A Lather

I have another finish for January from my rainbow scrap challenge at so scrappy projects. I sewed the crumb blocks here - during 2019 by color of the month. I found this in a -book here by Melissa Corey

it is 82x82 and used 20 yards

I used a cotton sheet for the back and a scrappy binding.

I did free motion swirls for the quilting. I really like swirls and may just do all of my quilts like that. Quick and easy is best.

rsc rainbow from Making A Lather

Just in time for the rainbow scrap challenge check in, I have a rainbow top finished. It was so fun to see the chain come together as I sewed the rows. Each of the color parts are strips and crumbs sewn together to make "fabric". It is called end of the rainbow.

Rainbow quilts take a whole year to percolate. Every month, it takes one color, and, then, after many colors, it is ready to reveal itself.

rainbow scraps from Making A Lather

I needed the last color to finish putting the Irish chain quilt together. But, with the end of the year, I have lost momentum on the rainbow quilts.
I am guessing, I am concerned with getting all wips for the year nestled in their winter homes for the wait for the start of a new year and new goals. It's a myth I still believe, that January first all the ufos disappear into a happier place, and I can just start any old thing I want..... again.... shhh don't tell me...
I had a time to get the ...
